French Bean Climbing Cobra AGM Seeds

French Bean Climbing Cobra AGM Seeds

French Bean Climbing/Pole Cobra produces a heavy yield of thin and incredibly tasty stringless pods over a long period....oh and let's not forget the most beautiful mauve flowers too! If you want to grow only one French Bean then Cobra is must grow.

The mid-green coloured pods are best picked when 10-12cm long & used fresh. The pods will snap with a crack when picked fresh not like the shop bought ones that have lost their freshness and become 'bendy'. The pods contain a white bean 'haricot' that can be dried and used in stews.

Do not eat the pods raw as they contain harmful toxins, these are killed on cooking. It grows to about 2m but we stop ours once they reach the top of our 1.8m canes by 'pinching out' the top growth. Keep picking the pods to encourage more to grow.
