Onion Red Baron Seeds (AGM)
Onion Red Baron is an excellent red onion that doesn't easily bolt and stores well. It is a semi-globe type with deep crimson skin colour and has a nice crisp texture.
Red Baron onion has a milder onion flavour than it's white cousin and has concentric rings of red & white flesh also making it an attractive addition to the dinner plate as well. Onions are used in cookery almost on a daily basis and add lots of flavour to many dishes from the humble but tasty cheese & onion toastie to delicious soups, stews and posh nosh, they are a staple ingredient for many dishes.

Sprinkle seeds on seed tray filled with compost and cover with 1cm deep fine compost. Water well. When large enough to handle plant onion seedlings outside in a well prepared bed, 5-10cm apart if small onions required or 15-25cm for larger ones. Can also be grown on in a polytunnel/greenhouse and they will crop slightly earlier but will require regularly watering to prevent bolting.
