Rocket Voyager Seeds

Rocket Voyager Seeds

Rocket Voyager has thin, serrated dark green leaves that are not only very similar in appearance to wild rocket but also has the distinctive hot peppery flavour.

Rocket Voyager is very fast and easy to grow. It can be ready to pick in 25-30 days for young baby leaf production or left for a little longer to mature. The younger leaves are slightly milder in taste whereas the older leaves have a spicier hot more pungent taste.

The leaves have an upright growth habit unlike the more prostrate wild rocket varieties and they can be picked regularly a few at a time as 'cut & come again' leaves so as to keep fresh new growth occurring or harvested all at once. Regular sowings of rocket seeds every 6 weeks will keep production going through most of the year.

Rocket Voyager is slower to bolt than wild rocket but any flowers that do appear can be a pretty addition to the salad bowl - just keep the plants well watered especially in dry conditions to help against early bolting. Washed & pre-packed supermarket Rocket is sold at such a premium but nothing beats the flavour & freshness of homegrown. Great tossed over pizza or used as a salad ingredient or even like spinach.

An excellent variety that's so easy to grow and so full of flavour.
